Adventures of Buddy - Day 3

Adventures of Buddy - Day 2

Day 2 with Buddy the girls woke up to this, Buddy raided the girls bag of Halloween candy (yes we still have Halloween candy! I know, I know...)! The night before the girls left him 2 M&M's, I guess he couldn't help but go for more! Who could mind with that sweet chocolaty smile, he was even so kind as to leave a Thank you note! He also confirmed he was a Boy, Payton had her doubts because Buddy has such great lashed hahah!

Meet Buddy the Elf!

Last year I had seen this little guy and knew I wanted to do it this year! The girls saw the story at Pottery Barn Kids and I told them if they wanted him to come they had to ask Santa! Payton was super excited and wrote her note to Santa right away! Paige not so much...she did not like the idea of a little Elf running around our house and did no let me forget it! We reassured her he only came to life at night while she was sleeping and that she was not allowed to touch him because he might lose his magical powers! This made her feel more at ease so the day after Thanksgiving this guy appeared!
Payton noticed him immediately! She couldn't wait to hear the story and name him! Being as they had seen the movie Elf before "Buddy" was their name of choice!
That night Payton informed me Buddy was hungry! Each girl left him a M&M as a treat!
They would soon find out if you give an elf an M&M he is going to want MORE!!

Thanksgiving

Payton had her class Thanksgiving performance on Tuesday! This year she was a Native American! I think she looked adorable in her vest and feathers!Patiently waiting to start the show!
Singing her little heart out!
Each child put a leaf on the tree and told the audience what they were thankful for! Payton said she was thankful for her family!
With Grandma A.

and Uncle
Grandma P.
and her family...
Payton with her amazing Teacher Debbie!
This year for thanksgiving it was our turn to be with Karl's side of the family! When it was just us two we could do both families but now with the kids we do every other year, which works out great! Right as we were arriving Karl's grandparents were leaving but we got a quick visit and Grandma Sherri got in a quick Parker squeeze before they headed off to their other family.
Uncle Neal and Aunt Jill hosted a great lunch with delicious ham and ribs! Parker enjoyed sweet potatoes!
The girls
Check out those Big Blues!!
After lunch we made a trip home for a few hours then we headed to Karl's Grandma Pacheco's for Turkey dinner!
Paige reminds me so much of myself at that age, I LOVE olives and used to do the same thing!
Playing a game of candy land with Daddy!
Parker and Great Grandma Pacheco
Uncle Gary is a big kid himself and kept the girls amused for quite a while!
This year we have SO much to be thankful for! I will have to agree with Payton, I am thankful most for our amazing family! I don't know what we would do without them and all of their love!

A month of Firsts!

I am 5 Months old!Diapers: Size 2
Clothes: Size 6 months, some 9 months
I drink 6oz bottles and started rice cereal!
I am now sleeping in my Big Boy crib! Despite Mommy's efforts I am a belly sleeper and cant help but enjoy all the room I have to spread out! I wake up at least once in the middle of the night to eat.
I am rolling everywhere! I can get to wherever/whatever I want now!
I am starting to sit up for longer and longer and still enjoy my jumparoo!
I grab at EVERYTHING, if mommy and daddy are holding m they have to clear everything within reach! My favorite thing to grab is my sisters hair ;) Right now they think it is funny but I am sure that wont last forever!
I went to my Cousin Ellerie's Baptism! Afterwards I hung out with the guys and watched some football!
I had my first trip to the Pumpkin Patch!
Mommy gave me my first "unofficial" haircut! She couldn't stand it so she trimmed the back and around my ears (photography by Payton)

I had my first taste of rice cereal! The first few times I just spit it out but now I like it and open my mouth for more! My sisters LOVE feeding me!

Yummy!
I "helped" Mommy and my sisters carve pumpkins! (OK I really just grabbed and pulled at everything but I was trying to help)
I am now sleeping in my
Big Boy Crib! I love all the space I have but always end up snuggled into one corner
I had so much fun watching all of the kids trick or treating! After a while it was time for a snooze!
(I also love sitting in my stroller like a big boy! So much more to see!)It was an exciting Month!
