Under the Sea Birthday Party for 2

This year I decided to combine the girls birthday parties, they are only a month apart and because I Christmas I always push Payton's party back a few weeks anyways! Plus at this age I don't think Paige minds ;)

I decided since I was doing one party for both it would be much easier to just have it at a play place. It was so nice not to have a big mess to clean up and no cooking to do!
The play place has several rooms but I chose the "fish tank". It is so fun! There are only black lights in the room so all of the wonderful under the sea artwork glows on the walls! A parent at my school works for Disney, she brought in these cut outs of every character you could think of! They used to be hanging in the Disney store! I took a Ariel and a Jessie (Toy Story). After thinking I should take more, they were all gone!
My mom ordered this "vintage" mermaid cake pan off ebay, baked the cake and my dad decorated it! He does such a good job and is so patient! It is so fun that my dad made me cakes when I was a little girl, now he is making them for my little girls!
My friend Kristina made these ADORABLE cookies for us! So nice to have crafty friends!
My big 5 year old!

Fun fun fun!

Paige just adores my friends baby girl Lulu!

Happy Birthday to you!
Make a wish!

I love this picture!

Love the Dollar Tree!
The girls had a great time! I definitely think having the party at a play place is the way to go ;)

Look who's 2!

I cannot believe my baby is 2!
She LOVES "Wopples" and this morning she got a extra treat of whipped cream and sprinkles on them!

That night we had our parents and grandparents over for dinner and cake. One of Payton's friends mom makes adorable cakes and made this duck cake for Paige! Paige is really into ducks lately. Not sure where it came from but we went with it for her little bday theme.

Paige is telling me she is "two" ! She does not hold up two fingers on the same hand but rather two pointer fingers, whatever works right?

Before it was even time to open presents she found her pillow pet duck from Grandma A. in the gift bag! Grandma had to special order the duck as there were no duck pillow pets anywhere to be found!

Uncle Andy even ordered her two duck books and had them shipped from San Diego!

Who can eat when there are ducks to play with? Mommy, Daddy and baby! She is really into families right now, there always has to be a mommy, daddy and baby something!

Mommy found this adorable duck place setting and couldnt pass it up!

"Happy to me" is what she sings! Still a month later I will catch her singing it to herself!
Sisters
Paige and Daddy
Yum!!
Paige is such a 2 year old! She LOVES a show on Nick Jr called the Fresh Beat Band and cannot get enough of her favorite character Kiki! She dances and sings and plays the guitar like Kiki! She even has to put on tights and a skirt and "dance shoes" like Kiki! She still loves her baby and surprisingly took to the new "no shoes baby" that she got for her birthday (the old one was getting pretty dirty!). She is almost 22 lbs, off of formula (yaay$) and now only drinks lactose free milk! She is on her way to being Paci free which will be nice and hopefully she will not revert back to when Parker comes along! She is also getting more and more comfortable with her potty seat! She had a regular one but last weekend while at babies r us we found the perfect potty seat, a duck! When you pee in it it quacks for you hah! We sure do love our Paigey Pie! She cracks us up everyday and love hearing her talk more and more! Although she is definitely a little spit fire and keeps us on our toes, she is a very good girl!!

A Busy Week!!

Payton is starting softball soon so Karl wanted to take her to get a glove. There were a lot to choose from but not many small enough for her. We found one and brought it home, only for Karl to go online to a special "softball site" and order her a better one. I think Karl is way more into this than Payton is at this point ;) He was like a kid in the candy store! A bat too?

Paige found the helmets! She was so busy in the store, finding balls, hula hoops, and hiding in clothing racks! She was full of it!
That afternoon was SuperBowl and Karl's Uncle's 50 th Birthday! Karl's Aunt threw him a surprise party at a restaurant in Pleasanton.

Paige and Payton had so much fun playing with their Aunties and Cousins all day!

Monday Payton got to work on her secret Valentine! Each child drew a name and had to make a gift that they thought their secret Valentine would like. Payton got a little boy, all we knew was he liked video games and his favorite colors were black and red.
She chose a treasure box to paint and made him a necklace with his name on it.
Paige wanted to paint too, just like Big Sis!

On Wednesday Payton wore her Pajamas for Not quite Night day.
I think these froggy jammies are the cutest thing!
My mom's friend gave them to the girls for Christmas!
At school they got to "do their makeup" (she needs a few more lessons on application and I will have to break it to her that less is more;)

They got to pretend to shave, and made a yummy breakfast of pancakes and sausage!

Payton finished her secret Valentine and had to turn it in on Thursday. They exchanged on Valentines Day! Payton was really proud of her gift and was very concerned about who drew her name!

Thursday was Paige's second Birthday! (more on that in a separate post)

Friday was the 100th day of school! Payton's class had a party to celebrate!

The children had the option to make a project using 100 somethings. Since it was such a busy week, we painted 100 polka dots on her nails, and counted out 100 -100 confetti's (I don't know why I had "100" confetti's on hand but I did!)

Friday evening Payton had her first softball practice! I think she did great and had a lot of fun with the other girls! Her team name is the Pixies, their sponsor is the Pixie Stix! I love it! Oh and the best part, their colors are hot pink and black! ;)

Paige played catch with Daddy while Sissy practiced

Go Sissy!

It was a busy week, I am glad its over. I will post soon on Paige's Birthday and the girls Birthday party!

24 Weeks!
Weight Gain: 19 lbs (yikes!)
Maternity Clothes: A mix of Maternity and regular
Size of Baby: about a lb and a half
Gender: Boy! Parker Anthony
Movement: All the time! I love it! So does Karl and the girls! I think Parker will be a early riser like Daddy, he always starts kicking at 5 am!
Sleep: Still Good, I have been sleeping hard lately and falling asleep early.
What I miss: Being able to bend over, and of course Caffeine!
Cravings: SWEETS! Cookies, Candy, anything sweet!!

I had my 24 week check up and everything looked great! Measuring right on track and strong steady heartbeat was heard! I will do my Glucose test next week and meet with the Dr in 4 weeks to discuss delivery plan! We are going away to the cabin for the long weekend to enjoy some down time and take the girls to the snow, after that I want to get to work on Parker's room and registering for boy stuff and a new car seat, I feel like time if flying!!
